Geo-technical Subcontracting Services

CJA performs specialty geo-technical engineering and construction subcontracts for a broad range of general contractors.

Expertise in anchored earth retention dating from the early 1970’s has been leveraged together with our talented and experienced personnel. This allows CJA to perform at the highest levels in a wide variety of geo-technical engineering construction venues.

CJA’s subcontracted services include:

• Drilled shafts including slurry drilling and cased or uncased drilling together with tremie placement of shafts up to thirteen-foot diameter
• Geo-Jet® to implement soil mixing for deep foundations, cutoff walls, and anchored earth retention.
• Driven piling
• Anchored earth retention including soil nailing, soldier pile and tieback and sheet piling
• Mass and structural excavation
• Ground modification techniques including stone columns, jet grouting, compactionand compensation grouting and geo-technically encased columns
• Slope stabilization and slide repair utilizing earth retention, buttressing and ground modification
• Augercast or continuous flight auger piling
• Micropiling

CJA can structure subcontracting services in one of four ways:

1. Design Build —CJA has the capacity to custom design engineering solutions and then implement the work.

2. Owner Design with hard bid on either a lump sum or unit price basis

3. Where the project’s scope is not well defined or numerous changes are anticipated, projects can be delivered on a cost reimbursable basis.

4. Hourly equipment and labor rental

Since 1985 CJA has performed over 700 projects in eight states on subcontracts from less than $10 thousand to over $20 million.
