Gerard (Jerry) Condon
President |
After spending six years on the Board of Directors, Jerry joined
Condon-Johnson & Associates as President in 2002 and operates a company
whose influence is felt in ten Western States from four regional
offices. Jerry oversees CJA’s financial stability, strategic
planning and implementation. With over 20 years of experience
in civil engineering project management, Jerry has strengthened
CJA’s fundamental purpose and implemented enhanced financial
and operational systems that will ensure stable growth into
the future.
Jerry began his career with Tishman Construction of New York where he developed expertise in large building construction projects. In 1984, Jerry moved to the West Coast and managed construction of several large hotel and Luxury condominium projects, eventually serving as VP of Operations for Ray and Rossi Company. Immediately prior to CJA, Jerry was with Conco Cement Company, a 250 million dollar diversified construction company where he managed several complex project site for BART and San Francisco Airport, including: the North Concord and Millbrae BART Stations and the SFO International Building-Foundation Project.
Jerry has a BA degree from Fordham University, and a BSCE
degree from San Diego State University.

James Johnson
Vice President |
James Johnson plays a major role in developing
the technical and innovative strategies for which Condon-Johnson
& Associates (CJA) has become so well respected. He has
directly supervised more than 200 job sites. James has a special
knack for innovative application of established techniques
in addition to his expert ability to assess and implement
new technologies.
In 1985, James joined Mike Condon in assuming responsibility
for the growth of Kulchin and Associates, Inc. He spent three
years as the Area Manager for Los Angeles and in 1990 became
Executive Vice President of what was then Kulchin-Condon &
Associates, Inc.
James began his career with a BSCE degree from the University
of California at Davis. Upon graduation, he joined Peter Kiewit
& Sons as an engineer in the area of foundation and underground
construction. James served two terms as President of the West
Coast Chapter of The International Association of Foundation
Drilling.

Kenneth (Ken) Welch
Vice President - Operations |
Ken Welch was appointed Vice President
- Operations of Condon-Johnson & Associates (CJA) in 2002.
Ken manages all subcontracts and supervises the contractual
relationships and risk management activities in CJA’s
four regional offices. Ken joined CJA, in 1996 as a project
manager. He supervised a number of heavy civil engineering
projects including extensive projects at San Francisco International
Airport.
After graduating from the University of California at Davis
in 1977, Ken joined Williams and Burrows Inc., in San Francisco
advancing to Superintendent with within eight years. He worked
on some fourteen projects involving new construction, renovation
and seismic upgrading. Ken then spent eleven years with S.J.
Amoroso as a project manager on ten heavy construction and
building projects.

Mansoureh Mohebali
Controller |
Mansoureh Mohebali joined Condon-Johnson
& Associates (CJA) as Controller in 1993. With considerable
experience as a financial manager in the construction sector,
Mansoureh has primary responsibility for business performance
analysis, and business planning support. Among her other duties,
Mansoureh oversees budgeting, cash flow management, insurance
risk management, and forecasting.
Before joining CJA, Mansoureh worked for Piombo Corporation,
becoming Comptroller in 1986. Mansoureh has a BS in Business
Administration Cum Laude from the University of Tehran and an
MBA in Accounting from San Francisco State University.

Alan Macnab P. Eng.
Business Development |
Alan Macnab joined Condon-Johnson &
Associates (CJA) in 1994 as District Manager of the Seattle
office. In 2001, he became the business development officer
for all four CJA regional offices. Alan’s focus on deep
foundations, specifically drilled shaft and earth retention,
allows him to apply 30 years of experience to any geo-technical
engineering challenge. Alan has experience in Eastern and
Western Canada, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Hawaii, California,
the Mountain States and the Northeastern United States. Over
the course of his career Alan has worked for several foundation
firms including DBM Contractors, Bermingham Construction and
Deep Foundations Contractors.
Alan has written a number of papers on earth retention and
drilled shaft issues for publications such as the American
Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Journal of Geo-technical
and Geo-Environmental Engineering. He is the author of Earth
Retention Systems Handbook, published by McGraw-Hill
(2002).
Alan was the president of ADSC (The International Association
of Foundation Drilling), in 1990-1991 and currently co-chairs
the Washington State DOT/ADSC Task Force. Alan is the immediate
Past-President of the Geo-Institute of the ASCE. He now serves
as a representative of the Geo-Institute on the ASCE Board
of Direction.
Alan has a BESc from the University of Western Ontario in
London, Ontario, Canada and continued there with graduate
studies in Soil Mechanics.

Mark Morrison
Corporate Estimating Manager |
Mark Morrison joined the Condon-Johnson
& Associates (CJA) Oakland office in 1992 as a project
engineer and is now the Corporate Estimating Manager. Mark has
used his extensive experience in anchored earth support (permanent
and temporary) and slope stabilization for a wide variety
of public and private works for clients such as CALTRANS,
Department of General Services for the State of California,
PG&E, and the Legacy Fund.
He has estimated and managed a number of major projects including
seawalls, highway slope stabilization, drainage shafts, and
permanent and temporary earth retention projects. His full
range of construction expertise includes demolition, excavation,
permanent shotcrete retaining walls, and drilled foundations.
Prior to joining CJA, he worked for
Kiewit Pacific Co. as a project engineer. Mark has a BS in
Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati.

Peter Alhorn
Design Build Engineering Manager

Peter Alhorn joined Condon Johnson & Associates in the Oakland office in 1998. He has 30 years experience designing, constructing, and estimating a wide range of deep excavations and shoring systems. He currently is the Engineering Manager for CJA, and provides in-house design services that provide innovative application of CJA’s expertise and equipment to the foundation industry.
Prior to joining CJA, Peter was Chief Estimator and Engineer for Homer J. Olsen, Inc., and also worked with Ben C. Gerwick, Inc. and Berti-Lindquist Consulting Engineers providing consulting services to Contractors. Peter is a licensed Civil Engineer is California and Nevada. Peter received a BSCE in 1976 and MSCE in 1978 from UC Berkeley, and also a MBA from Berkeley in 1987.

Dominic Parmantier
Manager Ground Improvement Services

Dominic Parmantier joined Condon-Johnson
& Associates (CJA) as Project Manger in 2003. Based in
the Seattle office, Dominic specializes in assessment and
implementation of Geo-Jet ® and jet grouting. He has worked
on the Reno Transportation Rail Access Corridor (RETRAC),
the Letterman Digital Arts, and the
Fourth Avenue phase of the Bay Bridge Retro Fit in San Francisco,
and the Ground Based Missile Defense (GBD) at Fort Greeley,
Alaska.
Dominic has estimated and managed numerous projects that
involved geo-technical design and ground improvement. Projects
have included micro-piles, anchors, compaction grouting, cement
grouting, polyurethane grouting, jet grouting, deep mixing,
and vibro-replacement stone columns.
Prior to CJA, Dominic joined Hayward Baker as a project manager
in 1997, and also worked for Schnabel Foundation Company.
He developed extensive experience with several grouting techniques
in a variety of terrain and soil conditions. Dominic has a
BSCE from the University of Portland, Oregon and an MSCE
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University,
Blacksburg Virginia.

Mike Almeida
Manager Stone Column/ Vibro Compaction Work

Mike Almeida joined Condon-Johnson in 2005 and took over our rapidly expanding Stone Column Division. Working with Dominic Parmantier in Ground Improvement, Mike is responsible for streamlining all aspects of our Stone Column work throughout the western states. Mike brings 27 years experience in Heavy/Civil/Building construction both domestic and overseas to CJA.
After receiving a BSCE degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mike began his career with SJ Groves followed by seven year with Perini Construction both overseas and in California. Mike comes to CJA after spending the last 18 years with Conco Cement Company. Mike’s extensive experience includes construction work on dams, bridges, highways, building structures and refineries.

Eric Dybevik
District Manager - Seattle |
Eric Dybevik first joined Condon-Johnson & Associates (CJA) in 1987 as a project manager in the Oakland office and moved to Seattle in 1989. He is now Seattle District Manager. Eric specializes in heavy construction and heavy civil engineering.
With more than 20 years in the field, his expertise encompasses projects from seismic retrofits to slope stabilization, complex civil engineering structures, excavation and concrete form work. Prior to joining CJA, Eric worked for Koll Construction and Kiewit Pacific Company. He has supervised projects of broad scope for a long list of clients including WSDOT, the City of Seattle, the Port of Oakland, Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the Montana DOT.
Eric recently completed a term as Treasurer of the West Coast Chapter of ADSC. Eric holds a BS Construction from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Jon Fenton
District Manager -
Los Angeles |
Jon Fenton joined Condon-Johnson in 2004 to assume control over the Los Angeles office as District Manager. Jon brings 23 years of construction experience to his position.
Jon has a BSCE degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester. Upon graduating he spent 20 years in underground construction in England. The majority of that time was spent managing various underground divisions of Van Elle Ltd., Pinxton Notts., U.K. Jon left the UK in 2002 and worked for both Malcolm Drilling and Keller in both Southern California and Southern Australia. Jon is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, London, England.

George Burrough, P.E.
District Manager - San Diego |
George Burrough joined Condon Johnson
& Associates (CJA) as District Manager for the San Diego
office, which opened with his hiring in 1999. An expert in
shoring, George’s strong problem solving skills and
expert project management can be seen in numerous projects
throughout CJA’s four regions but especially in Southern
California.
George has extensive experience in design/build, deep foundation,
earth support (both permanent and temporary) and slope stabilization
projects. George has estimated and managed major projects
including seawalls, temporary earth retaining structures,
demolition and excavation, permanent shotcrete retaining walls,
and drilled foundations. Public and private sector clients
for whom George has estimated and managed projects include
the US Navy, CALTRANS and Bosa Developments.
Prior to joining CJA, he worked for Wagner Construction Co.,
starting as a Project Engineer and rising to District Manager
within four years.
George is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California
and has been both the Engineer of Record and supervisor on
the design of numerous earth retention projects. George received
a BSCE in 1995 and is currently completing an MSCE at San
Diego State University.

Keith Bizzack
District Manager -
Oakland |
Keith Bizzack joined Condon-Johnson & Associates (CJA) in 1995 as a Project Manager in the Los Angeles Office. Keith transferred to the Oakland office in 1997 to work at the San Francisco International Airport expansion project. Keith is now the Oakland District Manager. He has managed multiple projects with many different clients such as the City of San Francisco, EBMUD, Santa Clara VTA, Swinerton Builders, Bechtel Infrastructure, and Webcor Builders.
Keith has 20 years of field experience in estimating and managing heavy civil construction and engineering. The projects he has managed include bridge foundations work, large internally braced excavations, slope stabilizations, permanent and temporary earth retention projects. He has estimated and managed numerous private and public works projects including work on the SFIA Expansion, the Letterman Digital Arts Center, and the Moscone Convention Center.
Prior to CJA Keith worked for Dillingham Construction in the Industrial Construction Division. Keith has a BS in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
